UK PhD Scholarship for Indian Students 

PhD Studentships

There are two kinds of PhD Studentships available to Indian citizens.

Closing date: 1 June 2014
Full-time PhD
PhD Scholarship for Indian : The Tagore Centre for Global Thought at the King’s India Institute invites applications from researchers who wish to pursue a PhD in the field of modern Indian intellectual history/history of ideas. Two fully-funded scholarships, each tenable for a duration of 3 years, are available, and applicants for these scholarships must have an unconditional offer of admission to the PhD programme at the King's India Institute, King’s College London to be eligible for this studentship. Applicants may be resident anywhere in the world, but should be Indian citizens and with an intention to return to India to pursue careers in higher education or research upon successful completion of their PhD. Candidates may be interviewed during the selection process. The scholarship will cover full tuition fees, a subsistence grant, and research materials allowance.PhD Scholarship for Indian

Research Visit for 1 Semester Two PhD visiting studentships, tenable for one semester each to be spent at the King’s India Institute, King’s College London, are available to students already registered for a full-time PhD programme in a recognised Indian university in the field of modern Indian intellectual history/history of ideas. Applicants should be Indian citizens, and may be interviewed during the selection process.
